This is an overhead tram line, that leaves Stephenville village, and
proceeds to Rays lumber mill, near furnace mountain. There are 3 streetcars coupled and run about
twenty feet. At each end there is a switch, and under the table a relay.
When the cars reach the end of the line it trips a switch and reverses the
polarity and they go to the other end of line where it trips another switch
and sends the cars back, passengers have fifteen minutes to get on and get
off before doors close and the trams are on their way. Its a wonderful trip
and you can look below and see village of Clarenville, and Booms farm
outside the village, also see trains going from St.John's to Clarenville and
on to Gambo.

The Bay Southern Railroad ( sometimes referred as the BS Railroad) is a imaginary short
line in Eastern Canada with a connection to the CN, NB Southern and CP Railroads plus
a small ferry connection. We serve three main industries, a mine, a refinery and a
lumber mill. We also serve many small customers.

On2 modeling by John Hitzeman
The locomotive and
passenger car are brass models that I detailed and painted.
The car shop was designed, laser cut and built by me from
plans and photos of the real structure and surrounding area.

HO Trolley/Traction modeling by John Hitzeman
The Illinois Terminal car is also
a brass model, detailed and painted by myself. I made the
backdrop in HO scale from DPM modular wall sections
Doors, windows and additional brick cornice details
were laser cut and added to the DPM pieces.
This backdrop is reminiscent of the famous backdrop made by
Bill Clouser years ago. Many of his O scale models were published,
photographed in front of his O scale "wall".
